Graham Watson-Ringo is a seasoned leader in the media industry, bringing over two decades of experience in journalism, audience strategy, and nonprofit management. Previously, she was vice president of growth at the News Revenue Hub, empowering local news organizations to create sustainable business models through strategic program development, audience engagement, and financial resilience initiatives.

A former sports journalist, Watson-Ringo built her career at leading outlets like The Dallas Morning News, St. Louis Post-Dispatch, ESPN, and Yahoo before transitioning into holistic digital strategy at the San Antonio Express-News. She later found her passion for nonprofit journalism at the San Antonio Report, where she led as managing editor, driving audience growth and fostering community-centric storytelling.

Watson-Ringo has also coached startups in the Google News Initiative Pre-Launch Lab and worked as a strategic consultant with LION Publishers, supporting newsrooms in building financial resilience and operational stability.

A graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia’s School of Journalism and the inaugural Executive Leadership Program at CUNY’s Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism, Watson-Ringo blends her deep industry knowledge with a commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion. She serves on the board of the Online News Association, championing equity in journalism at all levels.

Recognized as one of the Knight Foundation’s “14 Local News Leaders Who Are a Shining Example to the Field,” Watson-Ringo is passionate about creating innovative solutions for newsrooms and audiences alike.

She resides in San Antonio, Texas, with her husband and three children.
